To help you prepare for your time with us, we came up with some helpful things to bring. Please use the following list to assist you in packing.
-
Suntan lotion. At least several bottles per person per week.
-
Bug spray. At least several bottles per person per week.
-
Water proof/water resistant luggage.
-
Long hiking style pants and shirts. This is useful against the no see-ums.
-
Speaking of no see-ums, Benadryl or other itch relief product that works for you.
-
Any medication, contact lenses, glasses, or other personal care items you may need.
-
Bathing suits. While we can do laundry, you will likely be wearing a bathing suit most days. We suggest several bathing suits per person.
-
One dollar bills. It is customary to tip luggage handlers, etc at the airport a few dollars.
-
Sea sickness medication – even if you do not traditionally get sea sick – particularly if we are picking you up by boat in Roatan.
-
Hiking shoes or a sturdy set of shoes. There are several hikes we may take.
-
If you are diving with us and have not made arrangements for gear in advance – all SCUBA gear except weights and tanks.
-
Toiletries. Again. We have a limited supply.
-
Several good books. While we have an extensive library, we have no access to TV. You are in paradise – please feel free to enjoy TV back in the United States.
If you feel like bringing us something from the United States, we greatly appreciate USDA certified beef and cheese. To bring food products in the country, they must be sealed in a leakproof container, have an expiration date, and have a USDA sticker for animal based products.
