Mon Apparement á Paris.
After combing through AirBnb for a solid weekend, researching neighborhoods, and considering my budget, I carefully got my list down to no more than 20 available units!!! Exciting as though that was, I had to consider all the various interests I had.
So I kept going. I made in incredibly detailed spreadsheet of all of the sites I want to see in Paris (hint: I can’t get it done in the six weeks I’m here). Considered what would be important to me (for example, a nice gym with month to month membership within walking distance), access to train lines etc.
Then I spoke with my French tutor and asked her opinion. She gave me lots of info. But she’s also younger and I keep having to explain to here that 46 year olds don’t care as much about night life!!!
Le Quartier. (The Neighborhood)
The Third Arrondissement (le troisième) was officially created in 1859, but has surviving homes dating back as early as 1407. It bustling with life and is central to nearly everything. Sidewalk cafes, bakeries, and shopping abound. Walking distance to several metro stops as well as one of the largest train stations in Europe, everything is easily accessible.
